Code Ninjas Clubs: A brand new way to learn & collaborate

Big, collaborative projects built by teams of like-minded Ninjas and springing from their own creativity. It’s a great way for kids to learn teamwork and problem-solving skills while creating in the games they already love!

At Code Ninjas, our main two programs are unique in their own ways. CREATE, our flagship drop-in program, is the absolute best way for children to learn real coding concepts. Working at their own pace, ninjas work from white to black belt while creating their own games in Javascript and Unity. In Code Ninjas camps, ninjas spend a week having a blast while learning a single skill and collaborating with their fellow campers.

Code Ninjas Clubs is the best of both worlds. Like camps, Clubs are collaborative and based in the platforms that kids love to play at home like Roblox, and LEGO. But like CREATE, Clubs allow time over several weeks to truly master concepts and build great things. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this intersection of CREATE and camps to our area kids through the entire school year!

FIRST LEGO LEAGUE

We’ll be honest…the club we’re most excited about is FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL). We know that our area kids can stack up against anyone in the country and FLL will give us the chance to prove it.

Project-based and hands-on, FLL programs allow students to work collaboratively to solve an annual robotics challenge. Boosted by a million-strong global community of students, mentors, educators, volunteers, sponsors, and alumni in 110 countries, FLL programs are designed to inspire innovation and help young people build a better future.

Our FIRST LEGO LEAGUE teammates will be presented with a set of problems and given the tools (a LEGO Spike Prime robotics kit) to solve them. With guidance from our Code Senseis, the FLL team will spend 12 weeks innovating and testing solutions before competing in a live competition against other teams in early December. Check out the video below to see how it works:

  • $400 for the entire semester (12, two hour sessions plus a regional competition in early December)
  • Ages 9–14 (4th-8th grade)
  • Meets from 3–5pm every Saturday: Sep 11-Nov 27.
  • Cost includes equipment, team registration fee, competition registration fee, and team uniforms.
  • Since this is an outside program, discounts do not apply.

ROBLOX CLUB

We’re not interested in playing someone else’s Roblox games…we’re interested in creating our own.

This club will meet 5 times over the course of the fall semester for a total of 10 hours where club members will work together to build their own video game from the ground up. The only limit is their imagination! If your child has attended Roblox camp with us, they are already familiar with Roblox Studio, the game development engine we will be using. If they have never created in Roblox before, that’s fine too. All levels are welcome! At the conclusion of the semester, team members will have built a Roblox game they can be proud to share with their friends and the world!

  • $200 for the entire semester (5, two hour sessions)
  • Ages 7–14 (2nd-8th grade)
  • Meets from 1–3pm on selected Saturdays: Sep 18, Oct 9, Oct 30, Nov 20, Dec 11
